The Bread of Life Food Pantry is committed to continue serving food to our clients, no matter what. Now is when some of our clients need food aid the most, so as long as there is still a need, we will still offer our response to that need.
Our service continues, but our format adjusts as-needed to protect the safety of our volunteers and clients.
Adjustment #1: Normally we would invite our clients in to shop. That said, present circumstances leave very little "normal"! These days we are asking clients to wait in their cars and a volunteer will bring them a box of food. There is still plenty of food though and we are glad to still be able to serve during this unprecedented time.
Adjustment #2: For the time being, we are pausing our processing of new-client paperwork. If you have need, please come and receive food, no paperwork necessary. If your need continues after this crisis ends, at that point we will ask you to complete our simple, one-page application for new clients.
Adjustment #3: With limitations on how many bodies can occupy our building at one time, we must limit our team of volunteers to only a skeleton crew serving during our distribution time on Sunday afternoons. That said, if you or someone you know desires to help, we still have great needs in other areas. Community members can come alongside our ministry by hosting food drives, raising funds, and spreading the word about our pantry to anyone they know who needs food. Interested community members are encouraged to connect with us on Facebook or check out our "Get Involved" ideas below.
Numbers are great. It's fun to see the "countable" aspect of the impact God is creating through us! However, we share this data bearing in mind that our most valuable impact is uncountable: the relationships deepened among our clients and volunteers, and the hope God awakens in our clients' hearts.
